What customers say?

“ Stopped here one night prior to getting ferry at St Malo. Just off the main road to St Malo - need to check out the junctions you need to get there. It's in a quiet rural spot but can hear noise from dual carriageway- not intrusive. Looks like an old farm that has been renovated. Bedrooms accessed by external stairs that are quite steep so not disabled-friendly. Large clean room with ensuite bathroom and comfortable bed. Restaurant is large and seems to be popular. Had lovely meal there in evening. Open some lunchtimes and couple of evenings. Great service. Better than staying at some of the bland chain hotels in St Malo itself! ”

“ Very nice people, excellent food, great ambiance, child friendly, nice spot convenient whilst travelling. ”

- Jennifer Brisk -

“ We had a lovely meal here. We arrived midday in August high season, it was a foggy day and the lovely fire, superb rib eye and 3 course dinner with home made food gras and poisson de jour we could not have wished better. A bit of the touristic track this was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended to anyone who would like to get a taste of local french home made dining. ”

“ We were warmly welcomed with our American cars. The place is authentic and pleasant. And the meal was "very good." Perhaps adding some starches, legumes, or something else with the scallops would be a nice touch! A bit small for a hearty eater. Don't hesitate! We'll be back! ”

“ Fabulous place tucked away in a lovely location, superb food and service, well worth a visit ”

“ Tucked in the middle of nowhere but well worth the effort to seek it out. Rustic and charming. Revisited 3 times this year and it gets better. First time ate at lunchtime, menu 15€ and good value at that price. The house style is to cook meat and fish over an open wood fire with baked potatoes wrapped in foil cooked in the embers. Popular with local workers. Choice of 4 starters, mains and sweets all good quality. Gone back 3 times in summer 2020 and can't fault the place. Try the Gambas cooked over embers. Suggest you make a reservation as it is known to locals. Kids catered for too. Worth a visit to exercise your inner carnivour. ”

“ Stayed here one night prior to getting the 10.30 St. Malo ferry. I would class it as a restaurant with rooms, much like the Logis Auberge of old, suits me fine. Our bedroom although perfectly serviceable was rather dated but the plumbing worked and I got a good nights sleep. The friendly restaurant staff served up a fine dinner and provided us breakfast at 8.30, earlier than their advertised 9.00 start so we could leave in time for the ferry. One odd quirk I've not met before in France is that they couldn't serve us beers when we arrived at 6pm, I think they said it was because they weren't licenced to serve drinks until the restaurant opened. The beers were ready for us at 7pm. ”
